JSC “Polotsk-Steklovolokno” manufactures building materials, the application of which is practically not restricted – from building of underground lines and facilities to installation and repair of roofs. Fabrics – the basis of roofing materials. The given glass fabrics are designated as a base for manufacturing of rolled hard faced roofing materials used for production of new built-up roofing and repair of old roofing of any configuration, as well as waterproofing of concrete tanks, hydraulic channels, bridges, foundations and underground structures in a wide range of temperatures and different environmental conditions. There is a possibility to produce the material with cut selvage as well as the fabrics with hydrophobic impregnation. Usage of texturized roving in weft increases adhesion of bitumen-polymer binding to glass fabric. Buildingglassmeshes. The enterprise manufactures building glass meshes, designated both for inside and outside works: for reinforcement of plaster and as a reinforcing material in systems with thermal insulation of filler structures of buildings and facilities; for stuffing of cracks, joints on the ceilings, walls while conducting of repairing works; for sealing of plaster slab joints, as well as other sheet materials in inside finishing of buildings. JSC “Polotsk-Steklovolokno” also manufactures glass meshes of non-building application, designated for reinforcing of cutting wheels, as well as glass magnesium sheets. Thermal insulation materials For thermal insulation works a number of special non-woven E-glass materials are produced. The given materials can be used both in southern regions and in the regions of far north, because their operating range of temperatures (without loss of the main characteristics) is from -800С up to +3500С. Non-woven materials are a scrim made of chaotically located fibers, bonded by multiple needle piercing or sewn by glass yarn. Needle pierced materials are applied practically in all the branches of national economy. The main direction of their usage – as insulation of gas ovens, steam boilers, turbines, supply lines, pipe work – where changing of temperature conditions is not allowed, where heat should be controlled and maintained, where usage of binding resins is not allowed, as well as superb noise insulation. Rolled glass plastics manufactured by the enterprise are used as a covering layer in thermal insulation of pipes and equipment.

Electric insulation glass fabrics are produced of different density from 24 to 400 g/sq.m. on textile sizing or finished and are designated for production of materials irreplaceable in production of blocks, panels, computer schemes, instruments, electric motor insulation and insulation of electric equipment units, electric circuits. Glass fabric for production of foiled laminates and non-foiled dielectrics. Glass fabrics are used in production of foiled laminates from which one side, two sides and multilayer printed circuit boards are produced. Thanks to the unique properties of electric insulation glass fabrics the materials on their basis have high mechanical and electric insulation properties, are easily subjected to mechanical treatment by cutting, drilling and impact molding. Electric insulation glass fabrics are also designated for production of non-foiled dielectrics. High mechanical density and electrical stability allows to make mechanical processing of the material and use it for construction parts of electrical equipment. Glass reinforced plastic articles on the basis of electric insulation materials in electric insulation and mechanical properties exceed all the materials from organic fibers, can operate in conditions of high moisture, high temperature – up to 3500С. Glass fabrics for production of flexible insulation. Fine electric insulation glass fabrics are used for production of varnished glass fabrics, micanites, micaceous laminates and other micalike materials and flexible insulation. Materials on the basis of fine electric insulation glass fabrics are a laminated electric insulation material manufactured by the method of mechanical gluing of mica with glyptal, silicon-organic, oil-bitumen gluing varnish with further hot premoulding and have superb electric insulation properties, which have found wide application as an electric insulation material in electrical machinery, units of equipment and in power engineering in general.

EN reflective fabrics reflect light back in the same direction. This effect can be checked by placing the card in a dark room and lighting the samples with a torch at eye level. Under the microscope the material is shown to be full of glass microspheres with very high-level refraction that is evenly distributed. The result is very high optical performance. The reflective fabric of the Flashlite EN series is inserted into safety clothing. It is suitable for worker on the road at night in low visibility conditions, as it can be seen from hundreds of yards away. Flashlite EN meets Italian and EN471 European standards and is exceptionally resistant. This fabric can be used to make light or heavy piping and tapes at any width. It is available in the following qualities: EN401 grey, 25 washes resistance, 107 cm width EN402 grey, 50 washes resistance, 107 cm width EN403 grey, 25 washes resistance, 107 cm width EN406 grey, hot-melt, 100 cm width EN407 white, hot-melt 100 cm width EN 415 grey, 100% polyester, 107 cm width and can be cut in all widths.
