The changes occurring in China today whether socially, politically or economically are extraordinary. The art coming out of China is a provocative reflection of these changes.
By bringing the diversity of chinese contemporary art and design to the global stage CHINART supports a talented China and bears witness to the birth and becoming of a new society.

CHINART is a concept totally dedicated to contemporary chinese design. It offers a place for all designers dealing with Asia to showcase their work no matter what discipline : Artists like Douglas Young, Prudence Mark, B.WING, HU JIADI , Clément Ledermann help CHINART to define a new Asian identity.
The core range of merchandise is either self-branded or from young and innovative chinese brands such as GOODS of DESIRE, CHOCOLATE RAIN, B.Ugly...
All are "made by chinese " ... or inspired by China. The production process is a new photographic transfer method that does not produce wasteful, polluting products. Each collection is made in limited edition (less than 200 pieces for each design).

The brand was launched in January 2005 by Clement LEDERMANN, photographer, and Katrin ROUGEVENTRE, sinologist.
Several times a year, CHINART takes part in international trade fairs and also exhibits in galleries. CHINART products are purchased by an increasing number of retailers, department stores, concept stores, galleries, modern art museum boutiques, opinion makers... in France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzeland, USA... The inspiration behind all collections (fashion, homelife and stationary) is the CHINESE CULTURE. We take full advantage of the strong graphic sense of chinese characters. We also use the innovative potential of design from Asia, to create a contemporary silhouette and promote the image of a modern China.
