COMEZ double needle bed warp knitting machines are employed for the production of articles for:
* sportswear (ribbons applied on fabrics as binding)
* medical sector (tubular elastic netting, emergency bandages and dressings, disposable underwear)
* footwear (3-dimensional fabrics for uppers)
* technical uses (netting for sports accessories and for the foods industry, high resistance ribbons in special fibres, ribbons and fabrics - both flat and tubular - for applications in the geo-textile, building, automobile and industrial sectors).

Thanks to the presence of 2 needle beds, and the unique evolution of the weft bars, it is possible to obtain "double face" articles, with identical structure and specifications on both sides: the fabric doesn’t actually have a front or reverse side. This is a very important characteristic in the production of articles for technical applications.
Obviously, double needle bed machines also allow for the production of fabrics with different specifications on the 2 sides, and even producing three-dimensional fabrics – thanks to the possibility of spacing the needle beds one from the other.

The threads can be made to work both in the warp or weft, alternately or simultaneously, allowing for a much broader range of interlacing possibilities.
