The Coppenrath publishing house in Muenster has a long tradition: In 1768 Josef Heinrich Coppenrath took over the ''Perrenonsche Buchhandlung'' and founded Coppenrath Publishing. This firm stayed for more than two centuries in the possession of the family until the young graphic artist and publisher Wolfgang Hölker took it over in 1977. With his innovative ideas he gave this very traditional firm deciding impulses and led on completely new paths. The main emphasis in the publishing programme lies on children´s-books, gift-books and advent calenders. ''I have to be proud of the book that I publish'', says Wolfgang Hölker. Thus, all children´s-books are of high graphic quality and  always include something special.

Besides the book program, Coppenrath is also famous for the connection between children’s books and merchandise articles. The ''Edition Spiegelburg'' creates not only stuffed animals, but also stationery articles and games that always have a direct link to the characters in the book.

''Our goal is to create whole worlds around each book…'' publisher Wolfgang Hölker emphasises. The non-book programme of the “Edition Spiegelburg” is known not only in Germany but also in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Korea, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Spain and the USA the merchandise products are sold and have already found their lovers.

In addition to the books for children, the Coppenrath publishing house also publishes inventive cookbooks which are of high quality. A programm in which passionate cooks take much pleasure in.
