Unser Unternehmen:
FiberVisions is a fully owned subsidiary of SPG/Snow and Phipps Group (USA).
FiberVisions is the world’s leading supplier of polyolefin fiber. It is also the global leader in bicomponent fibers with its partner, Chisso Corporation, through the ES FIBERVISIONS joint venture. The Company's products add performance and processing benefits to a variety of markets, including the hygiene, textile, automotive, and construction industries. The Company markets and sells throughout the world and has manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe and China to serve the needs of its customers. FiberVisions is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified and has well established support services for all customer and supplier interfaces.
Technical Textiles
FiberVisions’ business activities focus on fibers for filters, wipes, absorbent cleaning materials and various products for other technical and medical applications. Our technical textile know-how emerges from highly developed hygiene fibers and features the same basic qualities: virgin raw
materials, high hygiene standards in production and strict quality requirements regarding toxicological behaviour, safety, and environmental considerations.
At the forefront of fiber technology
FiberVisions continues to invest and develop its operations hand-in-hand with advances in plastic fiber technology. We produce from long spin fiber lines in a non-stop, 365-day-a-year process.
Fibers for paper
FiberVisions was one of the first in the field of adding fibers to paper to increase its potential uses. One of the first applications was adding polypropylene fibers to paper used for tea bags. This solution was superior to traditional materials providing improved seal, strength and significantly increased ‘longevity’ in water.
A wealth of product applications
Following the success and positive reception of this solution, many more practical applications have appeared for fiber-strengthened paper, using both polypropylene as well as bicomponent fibers. The different properties of our fibers offer our customers a wide range of benefits. These include dimensional stability properties which are useful anywhere paper is used wet, such as wallpaper or filters. The added strength also prevents tearing.
And more…
There is a whole host of other uses of synthetic fibers – such as sealing paper together – in bags for example, or attaching paper to other materials. Fibers can also be used to add pattern and texture to paper, and the unique structure that can be created in paper by adding thicker fibers has also been noticed in the art world. One particular artist specifically uses FiberVisions paper in his work
Fibers for filters
One of the most demanding applications for fibers is for use in filters. Whether it is a matter of utilization in smoke, gas or liquid filters, fiber properties and characteristics are tested to their technological limits.
Meeting exact customer specifications
At FiberVisions we produce fibers to meet the exact requirements of our customers. Our technologically advanced production processes offer fibers with a varied and wide range of properties including elasticity, strength and heat resistance, and we are constantly developing our technology to provide customers with fibers to meet the increasing conditions and demands of
their filters.
ES FiberVisions
ES FiberVisions is a global supplier of synthetic bicomponent fibers. With state-of-the-art production and commercial sites strategically located across the globe, ES FiberVisions is the only bicomponent supplier to offer global product platforms. ES FiberVisions offers a wide variety of synthetic bicomponent fibers suitable for a broad range of specialised product applications.
Technology-intensive production
ES FiberVisions has produced bicomponent fibers for the commercial market since 1984. These complex fibers are made by spinning two polymers together to form one fiber, of which the outer has a lower melting point.
Softness, bulkiness and/or binding
Unlike other bicomponent fiber producers, ES FiberVisions can produce bicomponent fiber with different polypropylene/polyethylene ratios, giving a wide range of fiber characteristics including a high level of softness. These fibers are in an increasing number of nonwoven products, and they
have almost achieved the softness and strength levels of conventional textiles. It is possible, for example, to allow direct lamination to paper, for many practical uses. Another important feature of bicomponent fibers is bulkiness – high-loft nonwoven fibers are often used in sanitary napkins and diapers for bulk and softness. Another common use is for textile linings in jackets, and as stuffing for winter coats. Binding of other materials is offered and achieved through a patented adhesion technology that enhances the polymers bonding to other materials which allows binding a multitude of products with this technology.
Airlaid
Airlaid products made of fluff pulp and FiberVisions’ bicomponent fibers provide maximum strength and dust reduction. These fibers also provide good wet strength. By adjusting the process parameters such as core ratio and blend levels, nonwovens with diversified textures can be produced.
Wetlaid
Wetlaid bicomponent fibers are used for reinforced paper and for superior wetlaid nonwovens. FiberVisions tailors fibers based on fiber denier, cut length, crimp level and wettability. Wetlaid bicomponent fibers create a strong network throughout the product, improve wet strength and can offer heat sealability and other properties.
