I'm Markus Brunnthaler, and I'm the third generation owner and manager of the company. We are a middle-sized family company whose history began in 1964 in Vienna´s Simmering district. There, Mr. Anton Koller founded a plastic injection molding plant in a courtyard, manufacturing technical articles for the electrical industry.

With Mr. Franz Sprengnagel´s involvement in the company in the mid-1960s, the development of our houseware product program began. When Mr. Koller retired, his nephew, Mr. Gerhard Brunnthaler took over shares in the company, which was moved for lack of space to Würmla Tullnerfeld in early 1970. During this time the brand name "MIRAPLAST" was established.

We are known for always using the newest methods and the most modern technology. At the beginning of the 1980s we were already using computer-supported machines, and soon after we were putting the first CAD design system into operation. In 1988 a further milestone was reached with the automation of production. Product quality, reliable delivery, and optimal care of our clients are the central points of our culture, and mirror themselves in our processes and ISO9001:2000 certification. Through countless workshops on health, teamwork, and continuous improvement, we constantly develop ourselves further with our employees.
 
With the opening of the East, we expanded too, and founded the Miraplast Hungaria KFTplant in 1995, and established a new office in the Czech Republic in 2001.  The success of our efforts lead to an expansion of the Hungarian plant in 2007.
