Montepino produces carbon steel special sections hot rolling mill as the first process developed and established since the beginning of Montepino activities in 1954.

The raw material is bought from the steel mills according to specifications required by our Clients, in billets that are heated up in our push-through furnace for hot rolling our sections in bars according to our clients design for several uses, as agricultural machines, split side rings for truck and bus wheels, components for electric generators (key bars), patrol blades for earth-moving caterpillars, etc.

The tonnage regarding to the hot rolling mill must be between 1,5 kg per meter to 45 kg per meter.

As an additional process we have several cold drawing benches, to re-do some shapes that we roll and which require a higher dimensional tolerance, as well as specific mechanical properties, like key bars and train door gliding rails for underground or metro trains.

Our plant also have a machining facility to machine some components made out of the sections we hot roll, like flywheels for diesel fuel injection pumps and mainly for car door hinges.

We do hot roll about 20 to 25 thousand ton per year where 70% is for special sections bars and 30% for machined parts, most of them for car door hinges.

Our main Clients are GM Brasil, Argentina and México, FIAT, VW, Alstom Brasil, Canada, France, Spain and Switzerland, Borlem, Maxion, John Deere, Bosch, GT Brasil, Lunkomex, Flexngate, Wuxi Weifu China, Sueme, etc.
