1939 Date of Birth
The ribbon makers ANGELO BOLIS S.p.A, or simply BOLIS S.p.A. have been working in the textile sector more than seventy years, designing, producing and commercializing polypropylene film, decorative ribbon,
wrapping paper «Made in Italy».

1970 Decorative Ribbon
In this year an alternative to the classic rayon or cloth ribbon was born: decorative ribbon in expanded polypropylene. A product leader, it is entirely produced, treated and finished within the company.
Over the years we have gained a technically specific “know-how” that allows us to offer our highly valued customers a wide range of products both at goods and packaging level.

1970/2001 Evolution
Years of continuous innovation, improvement, product evolution and new offers that consolidated the market
leader position of our decorative ribbons.

2002 Ricciolis
A world first: self-curling polypropylene decorative ribbon.

2004 Raphia
The introduction of the, specially developed diagonal slit ribbon giving a more voluptuous look and creating a whole new generation of decorative raphia.

2005 Wrapping paper
Our lines were enriched with a new wrapping paper collection designed and conceived for Bolis by Eddi Della Santa, well known in the wrapping paper world for his creativity and market awareness. The entire collection in produced in Italy, in our new factory in the province of Pordenone, and its exclusive qualities make it a guaranteed «Made in Italy» success story.
The ribbon line combines beautifully with the new wrapping paper to give a touch of elegance and festivity to any occasion of Gift Giving.

2011 Svelto Shopper
Here it is: the innovative, stylish, useful shopping bag to carry and to offer a present. By a pleasant hand wave the handle makes a real bow of decorative ribbon perfectly in harmony with the shopper's paper.
By this new Bolis patent, the synergy and the practicality reach the highest level.

The factories cover an area of over 30 000 meters squared, employing 130 people not including those involved in external logistics.
All of our sites are highly specialized and state of the art regarding production, environmental concerns, logistics and ICT.
