Unser Unternehmen:

NC HYPERBARIC designs, manufactures and markets high pressure equipment for food processing since 1999. The company was the result of the core activities of NICOLAS CORREA S.A., the European leader in high-precision equipment for the machining of metal parts.

Head offices, manufacture plant, applications and sales department and are located in Burgos where one of our machines, a Wave 6000/55 equipment, was installed, for our customers, to do trials with their products.

What/Why is High Pressure Processing (HPP)?
It is a pasteurization method by which products, in its final package, are introduced into a vessel and subjected to a high level of isostatic pressure, (between 300 – 600 Mpa), transmitted by water.
Pressurisation of food products (above 4000 bars) at an ambient or chilled temperature inactivates the vegetative micro-organisms (bacteria, yeast and moulds) present in products, keeping their organoleptic and sensorial properties, and maintaining freshness throughout shelf life.

NC HYPERBARIC strongly believes that in order to maintain its leadership position in the High Pressure Processing equipment for food industry, investments in R&D&I, are a priority.

The investment in R&D&I is our future hope, and it will strengthen our position as European leaders in manufacturing and marketing High Pressure Processing equipment. Moreover, due to the design and production NC HYPERBARIC patented systems, our equipment are highly reliable, and fit easily in the food production chain.

The company is committed to quality. Our daily work aims to obtain our objective of Total Quality, either in our industrial processes and management, implementing new improvement procedures to meet our customer’s demands and the highest quality standards:

• U3 "Certificate of authorization" according to the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Code VIII.
• National Board (NB) of Boiler & Pressure Vessel Inspectors

NC Hyperbaric is the European leader in High Pressure Industrial machinery and its equipment are already operating in four continents (Europe, North America, Asia and Oceania) in meat, seafood, vegetable and dairy product processing plants.


In 2002 the first NC HYPERBARIC high-pressure prototype was installed in a Campofrío meat factory in Spain.

In 2003 the first NC HYPERBARIC high-pressure machine was installed abroad achieving in October 2004 the “ASME VIII Division 3 Certification” that allows the company to manufacture for the North American market and installed here its first equipment.

In 2005, NC HYPERBARIC separates from NICOLÁS CORREA GROUP, belonging nowadays to IBP HOLDING, a spin-off Nicolas Correa which holds three companies. This year a first installation is sold in Japan, a high technological market.

In 2006, our company entered the Spanish macro-project “R & D CENIT-FUTURAL” for the research of new foods and, at the same time, won the “FEMEBUR AWARD” for the best Burgos metal industry business project.

In 2007 a commercial office and a new pilot plant were opened in North America and besides we entered Australia and Peru. 

In 2008 our company obtained the “INNOVATION AWARD” for the world biggest and most productive HPP machine: Wave 6000/ 420 awarded by the International Institute of Food Technology (IFT) at the New Orleans Fair. As well, this year NC HYPERBARIC is selected by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Spanish International Commerce Institute (ICEX), together with six other companies, as a technological model company in Spain. At the same time we entered new markets as Belgium, Holland, Greece and Mexico.

In 2009, Preshafood, our first customer in Australia, won several international Awards, including the maximum honor “BEST INNOVATIVE CONCEPT” at the Munich International Exhibition “Drinktec” for its HPP range of juices and smoothies. Besides, this year we entered South Korea and China.
