Solar Energy

The solar energy industry is focused on capturing the power of the sun for domestic and commercial use. As one of the cleanest and most abundant sources of renewable energy, it is predicted that the role of solar power will become increasingly important in the global energy markets in the coming years, and can be utilised for sourcing up to date manufacturers of solar energy technology.

The technology behind solar energy is constantly evolving. Currently, there are two primary systems for solar energy capture which enjoy widespread use. The first of these is thermal energy, which collects the heat emissions of the sun efficiently, and is commonly used in water heating systems. The second is photovoltaic (PV) panelling, which converts the sun's rays into electrical energy, which can then be used to power any electrical device or energy system. A solar energy provider may specialise in one specific technology, or they may be able to supply any number of different solar energy systems.

For domestic use, a solar energy supplier can provide a system of panels, converters and battery cells which the home owner can use to generate energy and save money. Panels are usually installed on rooftops, and energy collected in this way will power the home. Surplus energy can also be sold back to the national power grid, meaning that some domestic solar systems can actually generate an income for their owners.

In the commercial sector, solar farms have improved this idea of selling solar energy. Solar farms are businesses which own a large array of solar panels, and their business objective is to generate a surplus of clean, renewable energy. In doing so, these enterprises become a solar energy provider for the local area, and the wider community.
