Organs

Organs are keyboard instruments that typically produce a sound by moving air through a series of pipes of varying lengths. The keys are arranged much like on a piano, but have no effect on the sound produced, instead simply closing and opening valves to force the air into the correct pipes. The pipes produce the notes based on their length and shape, like a hand-held wind instrument. Musical instrument buyers will find an organ trader or organ dealer at productpilot.com with a selection of organ types.

The organ takes many forms, though the iconic version is the church organ, famous for its size and grandeur. With origins in the ancient world, the organ became very popular in Western Europe and the Catholic Church. Many churches today still have organs that are hundreds of years old, with the most impressive being twice the height of a man or more, featuring carved wooden panels and over ten thousand pipes.

Modern churches still favour the organ because of tradition, their pleasant aesthetics and the fact that the sound complements choral singing. An organ manufacturer may produce compact, modern organs that take up less space than their historical counterparts, instead comparable to a piano. Electronic organs are a common space-saving choice, producing the sounds artificially in the same manner as an electronic keyboard. An organ trader will still find that these traditional instruments see repeated use in sporting arenas, television and both classical and modern music.

The usual market for an organ dealer is the musical instrument market, where organs can be sold as a specialist choice. They form great centrepieces alongside pianos and keyboards, which is especially true of classic models, with tall pipes on display.
