Trevira GmbH produces and sells, under the brand name Trevira, high-quality textile polyester staple fibres and filament yarns for the hometextiles, apparel and automotive industries as well as for hygiene and technical applications. The head office of the company is located in Bobingen near Augsburg, Germany.
Trevira has a worldwide reputation for fibres and yarns for flame retardant polyester textiles (Trevira CS), for antimicrobial fibres (Trevira Bioactive), for fibres for low-pill fabrics (Trevira Perform) and many other specialities.
More than 1,000 Trevira CS fabric collections are available on the market worldwide.
We offer a comprehensive range of special fibre types for ring yarn, woollen yarn, worsted and cotton spinning, as well as for nonwovens .
Fields of application extend from home and contract textiles, apparel and hygiene to technical applications.
• Low-pill fibres:
This fibre can be processed with no difficulty into woven and knitted yarns using all current spinning processes – either by itself or in blends with natural and other man-made fibres. Available in: batches, worsted//converter top and tow for conversion by cutting.
• Flame retardant fibres:
Permanently flame retardant modified fibres with round section for ring yarn, worsted, woollen-spun and rotary spinning, and as fill fibre and for nonwoven applications. Can also be supplied in an antimicrobial version.
• Antimicrobial fibres:
Permanently antimicrobial modified fibres for all fields of application.
• Bicomponent fibres:
• A fibre type consisting of a combination of two different raw materials (e.g. polyester/polyethylene); for thermally bonded nonwovens.
• Special fibres for hydro-entanglement:
Special fibres for hydro-entangled nonwovens for use in hygiene articles and technical applications.
• Fibres made from biopolymers (PLA / Ingeo™):
Fibres made from renewable plant compounds for various applications.
