Embossing Machines

The act of embossing is a means of producing a raised design, referred to as an embossed pattern. An impressed design is called a debossed pattern and the manufacturing technique is the same. The embossing machine manufacturer produces a different embossing machine for each type of material being imprinted. An industrial machine is typically a matched pair of female and male roller dies. The upper male roller die remains stationary, whereas the lower female roller is mobile. The material to be embossed or debossed is drawn between the female and male roller dies; as the female roller moves upward, heat is applied and the pattern is forced into the material.

Sheet metal is frequently embossed. The metals suitable for embossing include aluminium, brass, steel, copper, and zinc, though the embossed items can be as small as belt buckles and as large as the type of ceiling tiles favoured by pubs. Small embossed items are produced in such abundance that the embossing machine supplier can be kept busy solely on the key ring trade. The demand for embossed items is shared by a great many industries and services, though productpilot.com can be used to source a reliable embossing machine manufacturer.

Paper embossing is essentially the same procedure as for sheet metal. A frequent use of paper embossing is to connote high quality, for example, an embossed logo on company stationery or a wedding invitation. An embossing seal is a handheld embossing machine that produces a design that indicates an official approval. The braille embossing machine is a combination of software that translates language into braille and an impact printer that turns the words into the tactile braille print. The braille embosser makes braille documents inexpensive and efficient to produce and thus lends itself for use in large publishing companies.
