A. General Information Data protection
With the collection, processing and use of personal data we pursue the objective of making available to the users of our website content a user-friendly, efficient, customer-related and secure platform for sourcing, scouting and matching. Basically you can visit what we offer on our sites without giving us your personal data. Where you make use of services which are subject to mandatory registration you must make your data known when logging in. Wherever possible we give you the opportunity to decide yourself whether you wish to let us have your data. This voluntary information enables other registered users to get to know you better and to select you more quickly as a suitable business contact.
Non-members of Productpilot can only see your personal data if and to the extent that you expressly permit this.
The e-mail address given when you register shall be deemed to be your username for the log-in area. This will enable you to conduct personal communication at Productpilot and to use extended search functions. Other members can send you messages to make contact with you.
Naturally we are obligated to ensure that the data you have provided is given sufficient protection within our systems in accordance with the applicable laws. We believe you should be able to rely on your data being handled in a responsible and confidential way. Our data-protection concept also incorporates contractors who might need your data to carry out an order to your complete satisfaction. It is not our aim to use or pass on personal data without permission and for purposes other than those stated at the time the data was collected.
Cookies
So-called cookies are used on Productpilot. Cookies are small protocol files which are deposited on your computer and which your browser notes. In most cases, they are "session cookies" which are automatically deleted from your computer when your web browser is closed. Other cookies stay on your computer so that Productpilot recognises your computer again when you next visit the website. In addition, certain details (such as name of the requested file, date/time, quantity of data transmitted, etc.) on the process are stored in a protocol file every time that content is requested from our website. Such data is used solely for statistical evaluation.
Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and safer. In addition, Productpilot uses cookies to accelerate navigation on our website, to adapt the Productpilot website to your requirements and interests and to avoid abuse of the website. We also use cookies to record the frequency of page hits and the display of advertising banners, together with general navigation.

The Company's objective is to promote the economy by holding trade fairs and exhibitions in Germany and abroad; by holding events or conducting congresses and conferences; and by conducting all activities relating to the trade fair, exhibition, congress and conference business.
To achieve this objective, the Company has fair and exhibition facilities, as well as congress and conference rooms, which are used for events or rented out for a reasonable fee. The Company is also entitled to hold events of a sporting, cultural or other nature on its premises or to hire out its facilities for such purposes.
All data collection, processing and utilisation shall take place solely in pursuit of the declared objectives of the company, in particular:
- For carrying out the business process in question
- For information purposes and for event advertising
- For the purpose of market and opinion research
- For event-related service offers

The exhibition grounds are subjected to video surveillance in order to control traffic and visitor flows and for security purposes. The video images are not utilised for any other purpose.The personal data of employees, applicants and service providers is utilised for the purpose of internal communications, support, administration and invoicing.

7. Legal deadlines for the restriction on use or deletion of data
Data retention regulations
Data needed for the purposes stated in chapter C.4. will be routinely deleted after the expiration of 10 years. Data will be deleted earlier as soon as knowledge of them is no longer needed to carry out the purpose for which they were recorded or the purpose itself is not longer persued.
Right of objection
