Productpilot users can access a large amount of the information available there without personalisation. However, for extended functions within our programme of services, we collect, process and use your personal and corporate data. By collecting, processing and using personal data, we aim to provide users of our websites with a user-friendly, efficient, customer-oriented and safe platform for sourcing, scouting and matching. You can be confident that your data will be treated responsibly and confidentially, since we are committed to maximum protection of your data in compliance with the relevant data protection acts. The location of the operating company Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH and of the servers on which Productpilot is operated and all data stored is the Federal Republic of Germany.

Our Privacy Policy also incorporates all the service providers who are given access to databases as part of services rendered on our behalf.

No personal data will be used or forwarded without your consent and for purposes other than those stated when data is collected. Under no circumstances will your personal data be revealed to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes or passed on to third parties in any other way. This Privacy Policy supplements our "General Terms and Conditions for Use of Productpilot".

 
 
Collection of data 
 
You can always view our programme without notifying us of personal data. If you want to use certain services, you must reveal your data for registration. This master data comprises your business address and contact details, together with some business-related information, such as data on the company and company representatives, communication details with names of contacts, contract data, product data/interests, industrial sector. Wherever possible, you are given the opportunity to decide for yourself whether you want to reveal your data to us. This voluntary information enables other registered users to learn more about you and thus select you as a suitable business contact more quickly.

The email address given for registration serves as the user name for login and a random-generated password will be sent to you. This enables personal communication at Productpilot and use of extended search functions. Other users can send you private messages to establish contact with you.
Non-registered users of Productpilot can only view your personal data if and to the extent that you give your explicit consent.

 
Cookies 
 
So-called cookies are used on Productpilot. Cookies are small protocol files which are deposited on your computer and which your browser notes. In most cases, they are "session cookies" which are automatically deleted from your computer when your web browser is closed. Other cookies stay on your computer so that Productpilot recognises your computer again when you next visit the website. In addition, certain details (such as name of the requested file, date/time, quantity of data transmitted, etc.) on the process are stored in a protocol file every time that content is requested from our website. Such data is used solely for statistical evaluation.

Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, more effective and safer. In addition, Productpilot uses cookies to accelerate navigation on our website, to adapt the Productpilot website to your requirements and interests and to avoid abuse of the website. As a subsidiary of Messe Frankfurt, Messe Frankfurt Exhibition GmbH operates Productpilot. Productpilot is a Business Matching Portal that connects supply and demand by offering exhibitors a year-round, online sales and marketing instrument that synchronises the online world with the offline fair world.

Data is collected, processed and used to serve the purposes described above.

 
Forwarding data  
 
Data can be forwarded to the following recipients or categories of recipients: Public authorities if overriding legal regulations apply; external contractors (e.g. service providers) in compliance with Section 11 of the German Data Protection Act (BDSG); external offices (e.g. representatives of Messe Frankfurt outside Germany, group companies, exhibitors) and internal departments but always exclusively to serve the above-mentioned purposes of data collection and use.
