Innovation and tradition. In CULTI these two are inseparable. Tradition is the philosophy with which Alessandro Agrati’s brand was created, and applies also to the accessories and the bags. Those of the new collection ‘Ritual Wear Me’, as the name suggests, clothe us, are trendy and have a personality as distinct as a designer creation. They revolve around the image of Shopping in every sense of the word, are practical to wear, easy to match and comfortable to use. What makes CULTI bags so special is the materials: an extremely lightweight techno-vintage fabric makes them both sturdy and comfortable, with handles in padded leather or enclosed in a specially-designed leather shell. The bags are made in a very special soft elk hide with a characteristic aged look, and are large and well-organised, ideal also for relaxing weekends away. As always, CULTI expertly combines micro and macro without compromising either – design and functionality merging with innovative materials and treatments. The colours are classic and neutral, such as black, mocha and the nuances of stone, those that CULTI has always preferred, but include also a range of surprisingly bright shades expressing the brand’s characteristic passion for novelty – the pleasure of telling a new story. “I took inspiration from our roots and a desire for boldness and transformation, while remaining true to the characteristics that have allowed the personality of CULTI to grow. The new collection is based on both innovation and tradition – I have always enjoyed experimenting with these two concepts”, says Alessandro Agrati.

Ferry Meewisse Ferry’s label frrry started some six years ago and the serious, meticulously made work is very much about construction. In many different ways. The ideas are personal, yet timeless. The style is not about trends, but it is contemporary. A seemingly simple rectangular bag that has not been put together as you might expect it to. For this series he let himself be inspired by the possibilities (and impossibilities) of having a collection produced. This was to take place in a workplace that he, when designing, had not yet visited. In the end the workplace turned out to be very well equipped, but the ideas did come out handy anyway. BOTAM BORO India Designer: Ferry Meewisse Material: leather light brown, dark brown or black 40x14x28 In India I had been busy developing the button bag concept and at that same time the A lot of Dutch employees were about to switch to flexible work places. Such a transition yields an enormous amount of stuff that has to be carried around daily. So this is where the button bag comes in. The bag provides its user with an innumerable lot of pockets and compartments. On top of that the fair-trade and durable character of the project really appealed to the people. I made an extra big button bag and at this very moment a lot of employees are already enjoying their bag. A new series. Well, relatively new, I already designed this series in India, but now it is completely finished and available for sale. This series consists of button bags and zipper bags. For ideas I was inspired by possibilities/impossibilities I would encounter on my time in the workplace in India. Before I left I did not exactly know how skilled the people were with whom I was going to work there. The button bag for example is a complex bag that has been taken apart: compartments, pockets, handles, completely. This provided us with elements that were each really simple to manufacture. After that the pieces would only have to be clicked together with the buttons. And there it was: a complete bag with all the elements you need in a good bag. Stylish and versatile leather bag. The pockets, compartments and straps have all been made separately and are assembled afterwards by clicking the buttons. The bag comes with a shoulder strap. It has been produced under fair labor conditions
