In hisresearch he found a picture of an exhibition to mark the 50th anniversary of AD Copier 1964. The simplicity of the depicted objects were fascinating and inspiring. By the proportion, the manner of presentation and the incredibly clear strength of these objects Van Oosterhout decided touse the 'classical' forms of Copier as a starting point. Designer Ruud van Oosterhout has in his designs for furniture, complete interiors, kitchens, living rooms but also for ceramics and glass objects an outspoken sober, minimal style. In order to understand the essence of matter he goes back to the escence in form, color, proportion .In creating the widows 'Widows' I was important to work with the relationship between the material, the master glassblower and the designer,. "This close working relationship between master glassblower and designer is essential in the design and the design. So color has almost disappeared. I wanted the clarity of the Crystal series show.
