The APMON
A possible contamination of your products, what effect could that have on your kind of business? If the result is production loss, why are we still focusing on measuring airborne particles if it is the falling particles that are causing the defects? The Advanced Particle deposition MONitor (APMON) measures particle deposition in cleanrooms. Using an optical system that counts and measures particle size on the surface of the work area, the APMON provides a reliable measurement of contamination risk. The sensor data is immediately sent to the base unit, which can be placed outside the cleanroom. The base unit sends the data to a computer, laptop or mobile device, where reporting functions are available. The data can also be sent to any external program, such as Excel, for further evaluation. If a norm is exceeded, the APMON sends an alarm to the user. The APMON measures all kinds of particles, including metal and plastics. The monitoring of all these particles leads to greater insight into cleanroom purity, which can also lead to significant improvements in existing energy management. The APMON measures incidents, so if there are more particles at any given moment, then is easy to redress using a problem-oriented approach. The compact design and wireless system make it possible to position the APMON close to the working area. That way it can measure the potential risk of contamination of sensitive products very precisely. By measuring every ten minutes, the information is presented real-time and continuously. In case of a contamination, the APMON sends an alarm immediately. This short time interval reduces the damage and can even prevent product loss. Together with the insight into work processes, this ability to intervene in the short term contributes to achieving the zero-defects goal. The basic system of the APMON consists of a sensor, a base unit and a user interface on your pc, laptop or tablet. It can be adjusted to individual situations by adding up to six sensors per base unit. This way multiple locations can be measured and the data can be displayed in a clear overview. Simple, easy and effective.
