Daltex® ConcepTX
Daltex® ConcepTX nonwoven fabrics have been developed to offer a unique range of nonwoven spunbonds with differentiated properties and appearance. Don & Low have recently invested in production capability to commercialise this new spunbond fabric technology. ConcepTX has a much higher density than conventional spunbond, and is over 50% thinner. Daltex® ConcepTX nonwoven is available up to 3m wide and in various weights and colours. Investment in new production capability has allowed Don & Low to create the new ConcepTX nonwoven range. The ConcepTX range demonstrates properties which differentiate it from conventional spunbond. Due to its consolidated nature, the ConcepTX nonwovens are better able to hold a pleat, but retention of the porous structure allows the fabric to maintain water vapour permeability. Added advantages of this new technique result in ConcepTX being more robust than conventional spunbond, with a significantly higher puncture resistance. The creation of a smooth non-linting surface, makes it suitable for more critical applications or as a superior substrate for printing, with the elimination of loose fibres on the surface.
