Camel Hair
Camel hair is taken from the two-humped Bactrian. The colour of camel is mostly golden with red to light brown tones. Camel hair is not too dissimilar from cashmere in that camels have a fine, soft undercoat, mixed with a straighter, much coarser outer coating of hair (guard hair). The finer hair can be blended with wool to create fabrics for clothing and the long, coarser hair, which is removed in a de-hairing process, is often turned into carpet backing and waterproof coats. Conventional twisted yarn
A large number of yarn-finishing methods have now evolved from the original term of “twisting” which merely meant the intertwining of two or more yarns.The Fein-Elast Group specialises in the following yarn-twisting processes:• Cordonett• Ring-twisted yarn• Double-twist yarn• Uptwist yarnTo manufacture Cordonett on the Lezzeni twisting machines shown here, the individual thread is first hard twisted. Then, two or three of these individual threads are twisted together in opposite directions. The materials used are filament yarns such as viscose, polyamide and polyester.These yarns ideally lend themselves for producing lingerie lace. To create the desired design, organzine is frequently used as effect yarn. Moreover, these twisted yarns are used as embroidery and sewing threads, as well as selvedge yarns but also for various technical applications.Double-deck twisters are used to produce a great variety of elastic and non-elastic blended yarns, either with synthetic/synthetic or synthetic/staple fibres, which are mostly used for knitted fabrics.Twists can be distinguished from single yarns by their enhanced evenness and stability, reduced pilling and better wear resistance.

CONVERTING TECHNICAL YARNS
De Amtex SpA is mainly specialized in the twisting of high tenacity PA 6, PA 6.6 and Polyester. Due to the different technologies of machines De Amtex SpA can offer twisting in a range between 50dTex and 3300dTex and assembling of more threads to produce cords. It is also possible to combine a very thin conductive yarn with another thread in order to discharge static electricity when needed. With a strong emphasis on research and innovation De Amtex always aim to offer efficient and innovative solutions, both as a supplier, as well as a converter. The twist specifications are agreed with the customers. DeAmtex SpA is also equipped to heatset the yarn when needed. During this process the yarn is stabilized, diminishing its vivacity in case of highly elevated twist levels, and consequently making its use in downstream processes easier. Top-quality elastic and non-elastic core yarns are spun on state-of-the-art Rieter G 33 ring spinning frames.Medium, long and extra-long staple combed cotton qualities, as well as viscose, micromodal and blends of these with well-known elastanes within the range of 11 to 156 dtex are processed.The spun yarns are wound onto Murata coners equipped with Uster Quantum yarn cleaners. Core yarns are usually spliced but can likewise be knotted, if so required by the customer.To ensure high-grade and finest qualities, it is crucial to carefully select the raw materials used, to implement a 4-phase foreign fibre detection process and to constantly check the relevant quality parameter applied in our textile laboratory.CorespunIn this spinning process, a roving yarn is spun around the elastane. Finished product fineness grades of Nm 20/1 to Nm 170/1 are, thanks to the inherent benefits of the natural fibre, combined in an ideal way with the technological advantages of an elastane core. This yarn is used for woven or knitted fabrics.SirospunIn this spinning process, two roving yarns are spun around the elastane in a single working cycle. Compared with conventional Corespun, the resulting spun yarn offers distinct advantages in processing as well as in final fabric quality – such as enhanced evenness, lower hairiness and improved core covering since the elastane component is completely enclosed. We have protected these Sirospun yarns featuring utmost quality levels as registered trademarks with the brand names cotton star® and elasto star®, respectively. They are supplied by us in finished product fineness grades of Nm 50/2 to Nm 280/2.With cotton star® and elasto star® we have developed a yarn that incorporates each and every customer requirement. The velvety soft cotton or micromodal material with its exquisite look is characterised by its delightful and unique wearing comfort and natural feel against the skin. These sophisticated qualities are mainly used in elastic woven fabrics as well as for bodies and seamless items.Non-elastic core yarnsOur product range furthermore includes hardcore yarns with a core made not of elastane but of high-tenacity polyamide or polyester filament yarn with various properties. In addition to their conventional use as sewing threads, these core yarns are increasingly being used for technical applications, including shielding electromagnetic radiation.
