The brand’s identity is contained in four words: Essentiality: Essent’ial is a concept, a lifestyle. A way of living every day with due respect for people, beauty, culture and nature. Of appreciating their inner essence. Sustainability Objects made from recycled, certified raw materials. Profound respect for the environment, the countryside and our culture. Genuineness: Designing objects for everyday use. Apparently shapeless paper, but actually tough, washable, very attractive products. Beauty Simple, essential forms, given life through the tactile appeal of substance: the beauty of simplicity. Essent’ial was born in 2006 and is produced and distributed by A.G.C., a company founded in 1999 as an offset printing concern, which concentrates its flair for innovation and creation in the area of printing on extreme substrates such as canvas and unconventional materials. In line with its background, it brings its concern for environmental protection directly to bear in its daily production practices.
Partnerships Essent’ial has established important synergies for the realisation of its lines and various projects, from the economic to the social. Essent’ial works closely with leading designers such as Matteo Ragni and Paola Navone and with K-Lab, a diversely creative laboratory that develops high-profile communication and design projects through the surprising talents of diversely able young people. It also actively collaborates with a number of local community organisations such as Spazio Erre, run by the Incontarti Association, to which it donates unused raw materials and processing waste for use by schools and associations for educational and creative activities, and with the Giravolta Cooperative. Distribution The Essent’ial brand is now distributed in Italy and abroad through the best home furnishing and design stores (including: Milan - La Rinascente, High Tech, Jannelli&Volpi, Brian&Barry; Turin - Pink Martini; Bologna - Martino Design; Rome - La Rinascente; Paris - Merci; London - The Conran Shop; New York - Moma, ABC Home, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, Jcrew and Story). It is distributed in Israel by Habitat, in Australia by Global Provisions, in Holland by Kitchen Trend and in Finland by Hakaradio. It also has a network of agents in Italy, France and Spain.
