AKS Otomotiv aims to be a leading supplier of custom mechanical joining solutions to the automotive and manufacturing industries worldwide. We produce non-standard fasteners like retaining rings, washers and pins as well as other high precision custom metal parts such as special gear forms based on customer specifications.
AKS Otomotiv was founded in 1994 and is located in the Tuzla free zone area in Istanbul with its production facility covering a closed area of 5,000 m2. We have 130 highly skilled staff throughout the business from design and tooling to production and quality management.
Our commitment to excellence in production processes and product quality has led our customers to give us new projects that have extended our capabilities. AKS Otomotiv has become a reliable partner for applications in the fields of progressive stamping, machining, broaching and surface treatments such as grinding, lapping, heat treatment and surface coatings.
We target to operate all processes with zero defects and hold ISO 9001 and ISO 16949 quality management certificates. We are continuously working to improve our management systems to remain a competitive and reliable supplier.
In today’s dynamic global environment with considerably shortened cycle of innovation, we deem our company as a reliable, flexible and competent supplier to develop custom parts at short notice and to produce high volumes in series. We work closely with our customers to find innovative solutions that suit the budget of each individual project. Thus, our customers build long-term rewarding business relationships with us.
We produce range of standard shims, washers, retaining rings and pins. However, most of our customers prefer us becuase we can manufacture fasteners based on drawings and customer specifications. We use our capabilities in stamping, machining and surface treatments such as grinding and lapping to reach tolerances within 10 microns for parts as thin as 100 mircons. We produce washers and rings in spring steel, cold-rolled strip, stainless steel, brass and bronze with a range of surface finishes, such as burnished, phosphate coated and zinc galvanized.
We also assist our customers with an extremely wide range of shapes, dimensions and surface finishes from materials of spring steel, spring bronze to stainless steel and aluminum. Based on customer requirements, we use modern CAD/CAM systems to develop tools, automated lines and assembly fixtures as well as ultra-precise master gauges and machines in order to meet all specifications for function and economy.
Thanks to our in-house tool designing capabilities, we can manufacture a wide range of stamped parts. We can develop custom parts at short notice and produce high volumes in series. We also use state-of-the-art equipment to machine parts with varying complexities both in small batch sizes and in series. Additionally, we have external pot broaching and internal form broaching capabilities for production sizes from short to long runs. We can produce parts with outer and internal gear forms.
Our custom parts are used in brake systems, powertrain systems, steering systems, safety systems, chassis and bodywork systems and exterior and interior trim of both commercial vehicles and passenger cars.
