The Advantage™ belts optimum air-flow performance is achieved by Ashworth’s unique belt design and construction. Ashworth incorporates stainless steel rods, as opposed to flexing plastic rods, in order to provide the strength needed to increase the open area of the plastic mesh. In addition to increasing air flow efficiency, cleaning characteristics are also improved; in fact, the Advantage™ belts were the first plastic spiral belts to be USDA Accepted and NSF Approved, for cleanable performance in the United States. The stainless steel rods resolve other common problems inherent to plastic rod belts - beam strength is increased allowing the Advantage™ belt to support heavier loads without sagging; plus, less support rails are needed for wider belts which reduces friction and saves energy.
The Advantage™ 200 & 120 are available in 1.5 turn ratio and larger, and are designed to operate in harsh environments as low as -50°F (-45°C) or as high as 180°F (82°C). Rated to withstand 300 lbs. of tension at 100,000 cycles, Advantage™ is the industry’s strongest plastic spiral belt that delivers the most efficient results.
