In 1865 the Aubert family established in Mirecourt, cradle of the French lutherie, a factory producing bridges that due to their very high quality have become legendary.
Thus Aubert Lutherie perpetuates 150 years of tradition, know-how and expertise in prospecting, selecting and drying the best wood, while having modernized the manufacturing processes and developed new technologies.
Nowadays, the company that is run by Bernard Maillot and his son Cyril Maillot, still has the same aim: to satisfy the most exacting requirements of the violin makers and musicians, while remaining faithful to the tradition which has been essential since the very beginning of the activity.
Aubert Lutherie still counts among its employees people who knew Louis Jeandel, and who worked with him. It is partly thanks to them that the know-how and the culture of quality have been maintained within our workshops.
