The objective of the STIMULATE project is to explore user take-up of autonomous vehicles and test the technology and its operation. Beyond this, it aims to develop ideas for the use of autonomous vehicles and help to protect the climate and the environment. The two Charité sites, with their different pedestrian, vehicle, and bicycle flows, represent ideal testing grounds for this purpose. The four vehicles in use can each carry around 11 to 15 persons and achieve speeds of up to 45 km/h.
