Bruins Instruments is an established German family owned bavarian company located in Puchheim near Munich. It was founded in Munich in 1979 by Hans Joachim Bruins. He gained experience after graduating in a variety of disciplines including microscope imaging, biomedical instrumentation, laser spectroscopy, and optical spectroscopy and currently holds over a dozen patents on spectrophotometer and sampling technology.
In the beginning Bruins Instruments produces research grade spectrophotometers famous for their speed, sensitivity, and accuracy. We have supplied instruments to numerous research facilities for standards determination such as the Max Planck Institute as well as into research labs in the industry.
In 1982, Bruins Instruments delivered its first NIR analyzer systems for the agricultural and food industries. Since then, we continue to expand and improve our line of NIR analyzers and have delivered thousands of systems worldwide. Today our production line comprises NIR Transmission Analyzer for Agriculture and Food Industry for the analysis of whole grain, dairy products, convenience products, cereals, sweets. NIR Reflectance Analyzer for flour and baked goods, food ingredients, feed and pet food, dry materials. UV/VIS/NIR high resolution spectrophotometer, process-spectrometer and analyzer for lab, on-line production and quality control.
