Ceramiche Stella Snc started its activity on 1972, with our father Alberto and mother Felicina Caron, in Nove -province of Vicenza - the village of the ceramics since more then 700 years, still under the Venetian Republic period.
In the 1975,Maurizio as first son, was introduced in the company, and in the 1985 arrived the brother Paolo.
The factory started in its first years with the production of bonbonnières, small gift boxes, small baroque amphoras and swans.
During the 1980 the market requiring new products , pushed the factory to introduce new shapes and improved designs with the production of columns, lamps, vases, and several items for furnishing and furniture decorations.
Design, art, colours and warm “interior” became our goals, thing that we in Stella pursue still
How we do the ceramics:
1° phase: we think to a shape of a new item
we prepare an artwork
we prepare a first prototype
we correct the prototype were required
we arrange the final mother mould
we produce the final moulds for the mass production
2° phase: we produce the first pieces
we try different kind of decoration on them.
If lamp item, we spend a lot of efforts in preparing a nice or luxury lampshade
to allow the successful in the sale of the item. Often we achieve suggestions by
interiors decorators, when we create new shape and arrange new finishings or new kind
of decorations. Most of the times we look to combine tone on tone of the colours in order
to comply the main expectations of our customers and to allow the introductions of our
items in the existing furnitures .
Mouldings: we spray the liquid clay into the moulds, leave the clay to dry for one day, we open the
moulds, and do the first operation: to clean the slobbers, or in case of figures to
assemble the several parts of the figure. After all this the piece is prepared to enter in
the owen for the first firing, long for 24h and reaching the highest temperature of
1000°C. We obtain a piece named bisquit.
