The Neckar-Alb region, consisting of the administrative districts of Tübingen, Reutlingen and Zollernalb, is one of the well-known textile centres in Germany. The home of international fashion labels such as Hugo Boss, Marc Cain, Trigema and Mey is also where many technical textile experts are based. The region further benefits from being close to many medical technology companies and the automotive industry.
The future potential in technical textile of the textile region Neckar-Alb (which places special focus on the textile groups Mobiltech, Medtech, Protech and Indutech) was recognised early on. To pool traditional, regional competences and to promote pioneering innovations, the IHK Reutlingen set up the Cluster Technical Textiles Neckar-Alb in February 2012. In March 2017, the cluster already had more than 50 members. Interested parties from outside the Neckar-Alb region are also welcome.
At the cluster’s joint booth at the Techtextil 2017, exhibits of different textile companies will be presented:
Buck GmbH & Co. KG, Bondorf(http://buck-tsp.com/). Exhibits: strainless and effective solutions by round-knitted wire-, glass- or ceramic-fibers, a ceramic brake disk and cut protection material

Furthermore, research-oriented work groups and information events are offered. The activities aim on strengthening the economic potential of the members. You are looking for suitable project partners or subsidies to implement your ideas? Thus, you are completely right at the Cluster Technical Textiles Neckar-Alb.
The pooled Cluster Technical Textiles Neckar-Alb helps increase visibility and awareness of the participating companies and institutes: joint booths at important industry fairs as well as publications about innovative products and developments in specialist journals help do this. The cluster’s management also provides networking opportunities between stakeholders and establishes international contacts to other textile regions.
