Centre for light and smart building
DIAL was founded in 1989 and focusses mainly on light and intelligent buildings. Pursuing the motto "Better architecture through light and automation", the company acts as a manufacturer-independent transmitter of knowledge, as a designer, service provider and software developer. The headquarters are in Lüdenscheid (Germany) with offices in the USA and Taiwan.
The portfolio includes DIALux and LUMsearch, the leading software tools for lighting design worldwide. In addition, there are accredited laboratories in which the photometric values of lamps and luminaires are determined and where BACnet, DALI and KNX products are tested. Parallel to this, DIAL passes on the knowledge acquired in its design, consulting and research activities in seminars and workshops.
At present DIAL employs a staff of 90 and, in 2014, generated a turnover of approximately six million Euros.
