The new contemporary brand of trendy handbags comes from South Tyrol and is called Embawo.
Norbert Oettl, founder of the brand, is a young eclectic man. From model has walked for big fashion brands, but before that Norbert is an artisan and directs its vibrant creativity to combine his two passions in an original idea: an ecological and innovative line of bags and a line of exclusive home objects.
His creations combine the most excellent Made in Italy craftsmanship in the most innovative and avantgarde design. "I wanted to try something new, something that you could create with wood. I was sure that this precious material could not only be useful to make furniture", says Norbert . The result of this fusion of craftsmanship and fashion are these amazing shapes, reminiscent of the revolutionary design of the Eames Lounge Chair, the famous chair from plywood shell. The Embawo luggage and the Embawo home objects madeby master craftsmen, are very light, thanks to the 3 mm thickness of the wood.
The brand is currently developing a new line of fashion accessories and a line of exclusive home objects.
Wood is a natural element of design, not only beautiful and modern but also able to convey a feeling of warmth and pleasantness. These are precisely the characteristics that make the wood an attractive material for everyday or special circumstances . The beauty of this material does not have time. Roundness of the models arise from a paste special plywood that creates particular and refined bends and curves. The longevity of the bags and home objects is guaranteed by a coating of lacquer or oil or wax , scratch-resistant, that protects from water and accidental marks. Embawo chose to use mainly locally sourced wood, not only to respect the environment, but above all for its uniqueness. The European woods such as walnut, olive, apple, offers veins that give a new charm from the point of view, making each model unique. Upon request essences of African origin are used, such as wenge, zebrano or rosewood, to add an exotic touch to the class of our creations.
