The FRANCHI & KIM brand brings together the experiences of two historic companies specializing in the production of paints used in the construction and industrial sectors. Immediately after the war, “Colorificio Franchi” was established in Brescia. The company, synonymous with colour and tradition, conquered the local building market, becoming the leading business in the area. In 1979, “KIM INDUSTRIA VERNICI”, specialising in industrial paints, was founded in Maclodio. In 1997 the two companies merged, creating FRANCHI&KIM Industrie Vernici S.p.A.
FRANCHI&KIM has two production plants, spread over an area of 30,000 square metres in total, of which 15,000 are covered, with a production capacity of over 20 million kg/year.
The laboratories are the heart of the company. It is here that the highly qualified technicians work every day on the research and development of new products and new technologies. Expert colourists work closely with skilled software engineers to create the tintometric systems, both water and solvent-based, which have made FRANCHI&KIM a market leader in the field of tintometric.
One of Franchi&Kim’s primary objectives is customer satisfaction, which is pursued through the continuous improvement of product quality, the optimal quality-to-price ratio and the complete care service. The energy needed to succeed is found in its workforce and its resources. For these reasons, since 1997 Franchi&Kim has been awarded with the certification for quality management system in compliance with UNI EN ISO 9001-2000. Franchi&Kim’s environmental policy is summarized in its statement from November 2002, in which the company undertakes to comply with all applicable regional and national environmental laws and regulations in relation to the environment.
