RESOURCE STRATEGIES - RECYCLING AND REUSABLE MATERIAL CYCLES - SUBSTITUTION
Resource scarcity has become an essential subject for the global, economic and social development. An increase of resource efficiency, the re-use of raw materials after their usage and substitution of scarce or critical materials are a precondition for the Raw Material Shift.
The Fraunhofer Project Group for Materials Recycling and Resource Strategies IWKS with two locations in Alzenau and Hanau works on this future task by researching and developing new recycling technologies of substitutes for scarce raw materials and substances. In close cooperation with our industrial partners we search and develop for innovative separation and sorting methods, treatment procedures and substitutes for a sustainable handling of valuable resources.
