Due to innovative, eco-friendly products as well as a sustainable company philosophy and resource-efficient operational procedures Gebrüder Otto GmbH & Co. KG succeeds in maintaining its ground in an industry that has long since taken leave of Germany in its original form.
The company was founded 1901 and has been an owner-managed family business ever since. 3.000 tons of yarn, 800 tons of twists, 1.100 tons of dyed yarns and 75 tons of mercerized yarns are being produced by the 160 employees each year. The turnover in 2016 was approximately 21 million euros.
In its own spinning mill, twisting mill and dye house Gebrüder Otto produces high-quality yarns and twists in raw white, dyed, gassed and/or mercerized. Customers are textile processors for the garment industry and for the technical sector.
Sustainable products like fairly traded and organic yarns as well as the private brands Piumafil® and Recot²® expand the portfolio. Based on the long-time experience the company focusses on sophisticated and intelligent textiles as well as strong brands. Gebrüder Otto sets new standards, multiple distinctions show an extraordinary commitment in innovation and sustainability.
A close cooperation with leading machine manufacturers and research institutes ensures a high quality of the products and establishes the solid foundation for innovations made in Germany.
