Our company, Grund a.s., was founded in 1990 as a manufacturer of fine bathroom accessories, specifically, bath mats. We also offer other bath accessories, like shower curtains and bathroom ceramics. Since its inception as a family company operating out of the family’s home Grund has grown into a major supplier, which today dominates its home market, the Czech Republic, and has a significant presence in number of EU countries. We export our products to more than 40 countries in the world. During last decade we have become the European leader on the bath textile and accessories market.
Nowadays, we employ c. 200 people in the Czech Republic and other 30 people in our subsidiary „Grund Deutschland“. We now produce on 15000 bath mats per week, mainly for German market.
