Packline is a Norwegian roof box manufacturer based in Drammen. The company is part of the family-owned HTS Hans Torgersen & Sønn Group, which was founded in 1919. The group has its headquarters at Krøderen in the county of Buskerud and includes a number of well-known brands.
Packline's history goes back to the 70s and the manufacture of luggage boxes and narrow ski boxes for cars under the Skiline brand in Strängnäs, Sweden.
We launched a fibreglass roof box back in 1982, reckoned to be the first in the world.
The Packline Original took off just two years later with a seminal design, setting the standard for what a roof box should look like.
And so it has continued, with various innovations and optimisations, right up to the present day.
Packline is one of the few manufacturers to use fibreglass in its boxes, with it being a relatively expensive material that requires a long production time. Nevertheless, we remain convinced that all the positive attributes of fibreglass are worth it.
We also focus on design, the environment and sensible, practical solutions, and as much integration as possible between roof box and car. This has led to a number of Packline innovations over the years.
Packline roof boxes is simply the perfect combination of form and function. A box that harmonize with the car's lines. Packline can get any car to increase luggage space without changing the vehicle's form or function significantly. This is a result of our ongoing cooperation with the automotive industry to produce our roof boxes with the latest design. It is also the result of the fact that we are dealing with one single product - roof boxes - and we have the ambition to make the world's prettiest, most functional and elegant choice.
