In 2000, SK Chemicals Co., Ltd. and Samyang Corporation combined their most advanced technology, trade secrets, and the world's best production capacity to create 'Huvis', the country's largest textile company.

While making 1.4 trillion won in sales a year, Huvis is leading the hightech textile industry development by operationg manufacturing factories in Jeonju, Ulsan and China and an R&D Research Center in Daejeon.

We strive to develop high value textile materials under a management philosophy that belives advanced textile technology is a foundation that increase the value of human life.


Huvis is producing 400,000 tons of SF(Staple Fiber), 100,000 tons of FY(Filament Yarn) and 100,000 tons of Chips for a total of 600,000 tons in fiber production.

Polyester Chip

TPA and EG, raw materials of Polyester, become a gel type of polymer through a heavy pressure reaction that adds heat and pressure. This is radiated and produced into staple and filament fibers and is changed into a grain type of plastic rice of chips for the easy storage and transportation. The chips are supplied to manufacturers of plastic bottles, engineering plastics, as well as for fiber use.
