After its establishment in 1979, Italesse soon noticed a lack of professional elements designed to support the image and the sales of well-established brands in the complex market of beverages.
It is for this reason that, after thorough research, the first series of stemware, glasses, carafes, decanters and glacettes were produced, and after some time, followed by a wide and exclusive range of other accessories and high-end bottles, which have placed the company in the highest ranks among international wine and champagne producers.
Veuve Cliquot, Laurent Perrier, Mumm, Ferrari, Absolut, Heineken and many others have become the best promoters of the Italesse brand worldwide. After a short time, the brand grew and started reaching hotels, resorts and restaurants, successfully entering the Ho.Re.Ca world, in which Italesse immediately spotted great potential.
A strong business identity, based on clear objectives and a bold and countertrend business strategy for PREMIUM articles, primarily destined to the medium to high end market, is intertwined with a fundamental production concept - that of using form and function as the starting point for all research for groundbreaking materials, the use of colours, ground-breaking technologies and ergonomic shapes.
These are the factors that consolidated the brand internationally ever since its opening to the retail market in 2007. Italesse branched out to the retail sector out of after having identified a prominent gap in the market, becoming a success thanks to highly-skilled professionals and an ingenious art direction that managed to adapt Italesse’s unique business know-how and use it to attract the general public.
To complete its offer and its expansion process, Italesse acquired Velvet Glass International in 2012. The acquisition of Velvet Glass, a manufacturer of Luxury Design Glass bottles, has enabled Italesse to reinforce its offer, addressing the complex needs of producers of wines, liqueurs, oils and vinegars amongst others, that seek premium packaging for their products
The company has branches in more than 80 countries, most of which have a strong natural connection to wine, such as for example Italy, France and Spain, and others, especially in the Far and Middle East, that are strongly hospitality-oriented. Italesse is present in over 400 stores and produces over than 3 million glasses per year. These are the numbers that make Italesse a front-runner in the ‘beverage and design oriented tableware’ market.
