High-grade kitchenware since 1886
We have been producing high-quality since 1886. Our products meet the highest demands, combining practical solutions with outstanding quality.
Josef Schulte, the founder and eponym of our company, pursued this idea from the very outset, when he decided to set up his company over 130 years ago. He made the jump to self-employment in a difficult economic period – the Sauerland was a weak industrial region. In May 1886, he registered a company in his name in the Commercial Register. He chose the affix UFER to preclude any confusion of names – SCHULTE was a common surname in Sundern.
From the beginning, domestic and kitchen appliances became the main components of the production and sales range. Thus, boilers, water urns, electric ovens and electric hobs joined the assortment over time. Later, in the 1950s and 1960s, modern kitchenware and table accessories, flasks, electric grills, whistling kettles and stainless steel pans followed suit.
Premium products with "that certain something"
The foundation for today's area of expertise – modern cookware to suit every need – was laid in the early 1970s, when Schulte-Ufer brought the first all-metal pot to market. Our current product line ranges from cooking and baking utensils to specialist products, such as woks, fondue sets, juice extractors, pouring pots and pressure cookers right the way through to professional items, such as catering pots and pans and chafing dishes.
It goes without saying that we deal only in premium products: Every product that leaves our family business has been well thought-out, is produced to the highest standard and is unique in its appearance.
Unique in Europe
All of our appliances are manufactured using high-quality materials like stainless steel, copper or aluminium. This helps to guarantee a long life-span, whilst preventing resources being wasted at the cost of subsequent generations. Furthermore, we are the only European manufacturer to equip many items from our cookware range with a protherm® copper base that is suitable for induction stoves. Even though copper is expensive and very difficult to work with, it is particularly good at conducting heat, and as such, copper can help to save energy and to cook in a way that preserves vitamins within the food.
Against this background this strategy has helped us to make our excellent name. Over the years we have received product and quality awards from independent institutes, such as Stiftung Warentest, Ökotest and Emporio, again and again. The German Institute for Service Quality just recently confirmed our customers’ very high level of satisfaction: in a survey in October 2016, Schulte-Ufer was voted the most popular brand for pots and pans for the second time in succession.
These confirmations are our momentum and motivation to develop further products over and over, convincing by a consistent high-quality, longevity and a distinctive touch.
