Laundry Computer Technics, shortly LCT, was raised in 1984, as a producer of installations for Laundries. In 1991 LCT put the focus on development of a washing resistant chip label for the recognition of professional clothing.
This knowhow made LCT specialize in two key activities:
Automation of the dispensing of workwear at companies and hospitals
Sorting systems for the laundry sector
Since 1993 LCT has installed over 500 workwear distribution systems all over Europe.
Also outside of Europe the demand for wardrobe automation is growing and the expertise of LCT is being requested often. Already in 1999 the first garment distributor outside of Europe was installed. This system takes care of the distribution of workwear to 2100 employees of the airport in Kuala Lumpur on daily base. Since 2002 LCT is active on the American market. In the USA a lot of systems have been installed, for instance in large casinos in Las Vegas.
LCT has a lot of experience in the development and production of systems for the distribution of workwear. Besides the standard distribution systems as installed in many hospitals, LCT also delivers custom made systems. For instance there is a distribution systems at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam. This fully automatic system, an integrated distribution- and sorting unit, provides garments to the complete staff of KLM.
Also LCT is the supplier of several brands of chip labels and reading technology, for instance Tagsys, Sokymat, Smarttrac, Datamars and AEG (Trovan).
LCT has 3 sites. The main office is located centrally in the Netherlands in Tiel. Production and assembly are done in Echt in the province Limburg and partly in Eastern Europe. The third is our office in Spain, from which the Spanish market is being served. In many other countries LCT is represented by dealers.
These activities can be described best as garment automation. With this garment automation we mean the different processes for which LCT has developed the solution:
Controlled distribution and collecting of hanging clothes
Controlled distribution and collecting of folded clothes
Distribution of personal protective equipment
Space saving substitute for wardrobes and wardrobe systems
