WE ARE LED IBOND
Our patented technology has been in use since 2001, and helped to illuminate many projects, ranging from shelf lighting in pharmacies to large scale exterior projects such as harbour bridges.
We have strong ties with the Danish Technical University and are based in their Scion centre for Innovation in Kgs. Lyngby, on the outskirts of Copenhagen.
What unites us team is“Ildsjæl”. It’s literal meaning in English is ‘fire soul’ - true passion, true dedication to making things happen - wherever we are in the company - behind the scenes or in front of our clients.
The company is owned by private investors and SDTI (Syddansk Teknologisk Innovation)
We take a widely used, readily available material (so called Aluminium Composite plates - ACPs), and use its unique properties to integrate LEDs into an ultra slim, ultra efficient package.
An ACP consists of two thin layers of aluminium, bonded by a PE core - leading to an overall thickness of 6mm. Since Aluminium is both a good conductor of electricity and thermal energy, no additional wiring is required, and no additional heatsinks are required.
ACPs are also very economical in production, giving us the opportunity to build new luminaire concepts faster than anyone else - since we are not bound to conventional printed circuit boards. This means we can build small series luminaires that are customised for special projects quickly and efficiently.
