LemTec Innova has been one of the first companies that could have offered the German industry a complete product series of COB-LED industrial lights with a cen-tralized light source and high degree of protection. In 2007, the six years previously founded LemTec GmbH has been transformed into todays LemTec Innova GmbH & Co. KG. The breakthrough into thermal management of high-performance COB-LED modules (Chip-on-Board) paved the way for a technical development of numerous milestones. The high economic efficiency of the products and their excellent technology and quality have convinced well-known industrial clients. An increase in light output of the COB-LED modules by 80% and an immense decrease in operating temperature during the last years clearly shows the in-house continuous improvement.
LemTec – Thinking light primarily stands for the core competence in the field of industrial lighting by using own COB-LED modules (Chip-on-Board).
Over the last years, we have built industry-specific light-ing products for factories, outdoor lighting, largescale equipment, machines and vehicles as well as for agricul-tural businesses.
One major part of LemTec is the development and pro-duction of lights for industrial applications (industrial lighting), individually and mass-produced. At the compa-ny’s headquarter in Viersen, North Rhine Westphalia, there is not only to be researched and developed but also produced. No matter if prototypes, small series or customer-specific LED lighting products, LemTec pro-duces highest quality products made in Germany. Mass-produced series are manufactured at various facility sides with strict quality standards and permanent super-vision.
LemTecs COB-LED modules from type 5009 2.0 onwards are so called LowTemp modules. High thermal resistance is leading to an increase in junction temperature within the LED and consequently, to a decrease in efficiency. Due to consequent technical development, LemTec could have significantly decreased the thermal resistance of its company-owned COB modules. Thus, a thermal impedance measurement, carried out by a reputable uni-versity, verifies thermal resistance values between 0.5 K/W to 0.6 K/W for the new series. Current LED technol-ogy on the market normally has thermal resistances of high single-digit and often also two-digit values.
