I have invented and developed the product and the sport "Bassalo". My single company exists since 2011; With the sale of the product I started in January 2012. Since then, I sold over 12,000 games. The most I sell directly through various fairs, sports and games events, in schools (through workshops), students, over my 40 distributors (including the largest sports catalogs GER + AUT) and via my online shop.
I am a one-man company, but with a help of lot of trainers, distributors and partners in the marketing of the product. Employees I still have not; but now begins in September, the first Self-employed commercial agent with 100% market and selling my product.
My product consists of cups, balls and lids for ball retention. Cups and lids are "Made in Germany", balls from China. Compliance Letter, Reach standard confirmation & EN71 can be provided on request.
Product is marketed as a sports product and sold (not as children's toys).
Great advantage of the product: The mug length of 25 cm and the weight of the balls beautiful playing is possible up to about 50 meters; just playing with strong wind and in the water, because the product is on the water surface remains (Ideal for summer beach game).
Target groups: Any individual aged 4 years, all for lots of enthusiasts, families, schools, clubs, holiday camps and companies who use the product as a promotional gift. The product can be printed individually and customize. Biggest references: Mercedes Benz Austria (SMART) and ÖBB travel agency (AUT).
Goals / plans: Next year, 3 wholesalers already promised to take my product in their range. In spring 2017, the first Tyrolean School Sports Championship is conducted. Every school in Germany, Austria and Switzerland should have a class set as standard. Every family with children should have one game. Everybody who goes to beach holiday should have one game.
In the future, the sales should go only through wholesale, retail and distribution partners. Additional product enhancements, improvements and general marketing will then be my main task. Likewise, the goal is the sport, to make the team game known and to form a separate Bassalo umbrella organization soon.
I went so far to make direct marketing much personally at fairs, events and shows. I also worked very intensively in schools as Bassalo coach. This way I would like to expand in the future. Currently I have a pool of 15 trainers who can give workshops. Equally, and I am always at sports meetings and training for physical education teachers and coaches.
