Merseburger Verlag - Spiritual music since 175 years
Founded in 1837, the publisher is the oldest Protestant church music publisher in Germany. The catalog contains names such as Georg Philipp Telemann, Orlando di Lasso, Dietrich Buxtehude and Georg Friedrich Händel. An important concern, however, has always been the publication of spiritual music for church music practice. This has been one of the defining themes since the founding of the publishing house and has remained so to this day.
Among the most important new releases in 2017 is the series of editions of organ music. In addition to church music, Merseburger Verlag also publishes selected secular works. Thus a whole series of first editions of works by violin virtuoso and composer Louis Spohr.
Merseburger's house is also home to many contemporary authors, including Rudolf Mauersberger and Hans Chemin-Petit.
The publishing program is supplemented by books on musical history and science, instrument making, pedagogy and musical practice as well as scientific book series.
Very active at trade fairs and festivals at home and abroad, Merseburg is a firm size in the music publishing industry.
Merseburg is the oldest Protestant church music publishing company in the world. The publisher of sacred music offers you a wide range of sheet music and books: organ (with instruments), organ building, choir and ensemble literature, music for brass and trombone choirs, song books, fairs, cantatas and oratorios and a wide range of secular choral and instrumental music .
