Spunbond made in Germany
The Multitexx GmbH, a Dörken group company, presents itself as a new company in the field of spunbond technology, offering high-grade nonwovens for a wide variety of applications. Whether used for hygiene purposes, for bracing, padding or covering in the furniture industry, as filtration, separation, or protection layers in the construction sector, for vehicle interiors, or for filtering liquids and solids:
Our company offers particularly uniform calendared spunbond of polyester (PET) and polypropylene (PP), whose properties can be tailored to fit all applications and requirements.
With its more than 15 years of experience in the manufacture of PET spunbond and its special Reicofil production process, the company makes at its location in Herdecke, Germany, thermally bonded quality nonwovens of various square weights that are up to 3,200 millimetres wide. The outstanding characteristic of these spunbond is that their structure is particularly uniform even at low square weights. They are made directly from granular feedstock material in an integrated process. In this closed process, polymers are converted into continuous filaments by melting and drawing; the filaments are then deposited on a conveyor belt in the form of a random fibre mat. Filaments are produced and deposited in a single operation, and thermal bonding is achieved in a calander exclusively through pressure and temperature.
The uniformly high quality of the products is assured by a consistent quality and environmental management system as per DIN EN ISO 9001 and DIN EN ISO 14001 which bears the EMAS certificate.
Multitexx spunbond are universal in application and economical to process; on request, they may be stabilised for specific applications, and they are available in many colours.
