The music publishing house Holzschuh was established by the accordion pioneer Alfons Holzschuh. Since its foundation, the company has been committed to publishing educational materials. A wide-ranging portfolio for accordion has been built up over many years based on the original repertoire. Since its acquisition by Herrn Halbig, the educational focus has gradually shifted to other musical instruments. Over time, instrumental tuition materials have been developed for piano, recorder and string instruments. The authors of those editions are well known to many music teachers. But the company’s roots in accordion music are still taken very seriously, and Holzschuh regularly publishes editions for accordion.
