National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the administrative control of Ministry of Textiles, Government of India was incorporated in April 1968 to manage the affairs of sick Textile Industries. NTC is a proud owner of 23 state-of-the-art mills modernized and revived, geared to serve the nation with a wide range of quality products in yarn, cloth & garments. With a turnover of Rs. 6.92 billion in the year 2011-12, NTC is now a Rs. 11.30 billion turnover company.
NTC has Five (5) Joint Ventures in total with Bhaskar Industries, M/s Pantaloon and M/s Alok Industries and together we have complete end to end solutions of textiles clothing and apparels.
NTC has a production capacity of more than 8 Lakh spindles with a yearly production of about 520 lakh Kgs of yarns and loom capacity of around 430 looms with a yearly production of approx. 175 Lakh meters of fabric of different varieties. NTC plans to move from selling yarn as a commodity to selling branded yarn by differentiating the yarn from those of other sellers and highlighting the USP’s through appropriate brand name, design, symbol, logo and packaging.
All products of NTC are manufactured within India under the ‘Make in India’ campaign of the Government of India. However, products of NTC are exported to various Nations across the Globe. Under the ‘Skill India’ initiative, NTC is training its workforce to make sure that their productivity increases which in turn benefits all.
The main shift of NTC’s focus lies in changing the company’s reputation from just being a production organization to a market oriented organization and communicates the change to all the stake holders on the new philosophy through various initiatives. The Company is leading the path to achieve its mission – “TO BE A LEADING TEXTILE ENTERPRISE STEADILY IMPROVING CAPACITY UTILIZATION, ECONOMY OF OPERATIONS, PRODUCTIVITY, QUALITY, BRAND IMAGE, MARKET SHARE & EXPORT.”
NTC is proud owner of well known brands such as Finlays, Entyce and RAASA and through its wide network of over 90 retail outlets all over India, catering to the clothing needs general public. Presently NTC is supplying Shirting, Suiting, Bed Sheets, towels etc. from its showrooms. In order to increase its product line and depth, NTC has re-launched its Home Textiles brand ‘RAASA’ which has high quality bed and bath linen products. NTC is also launching value for money Mens garments under the brand name of “Indian Republic” towards its aim to be the one stop solution to the complete clothing needs of the Nation.
NTC has been supplying uniforms and other textile products to various State & Central Govts., PSUs and Private Institutions.
NTC has been exporting to various countries across the world. For the first time NTC crossed Rs. 100 Crores of exports in the year 2013-14 with exports to various countries like China, Pakistan, Korea, Israel, Turkey, Colombia, Italy etc. Last year NTC exported goods worth Rs. 75 Crores even with the sluggish export market. This year NTC plans to export goods worth Rs. 100 Crores and create a strong market for itself in the export arena.
