The main line of production is the extraction of Carrageenan of KAPPA and IOTA types, extracted from the red seaweed of Eucheuma cottonii and Eucheuma spinosum. Galic Carrageenan products are marketed in the Indonesian market and into Europe, South America, North America, Asia and Australia.
The 50,000 M2 plant is located in the industrial area of Bekasi, an area outside the East of Jakarta. The site has separate buildings for the production of the food grade and the pet food or industrial grade carraageenans. In December 1999, the company has received ISO 9001-2008 Certification from Sucofindo International Certification Services. The manufacturing process and products have HALAL certification from Majelis Ulama Indonesia and HACCP (Fish Quarantine and Inspection Agency - FQIA).
