For more than 135 years, Sandler AG has been led and shaped by the Sandler families. Established in 1879, today Sandler is one of the largest nonwovens producers in Europe and ranks among the top 20 worldwide. With extensive know-how and state-of-the-art production technologies we are a leading supplier for the hygiene, wipes, transportation, filtration, construction/technical applications and home textiles markets. At our location in the centre of Europe we can implement ideas and make decisions quickly, as well as respond flexibly to changes in the markets. This allows us to be a strong partner, furthering the interests of our customers and our markets. With innovational strength, experience and expertise we are exploiting new possibilities. Our ongoing development is always kept on a sound financial footing. As a result, we are able to invest independently and quickly in leading-edge technologies and production equipment – giving our customers a competitive edge.
With the establishment of our first foreign subsidiary – the Sandler Nonwoven Corporation in Perry, Georgia, USA – in 2016, we created a direct point of entry into the North American market.
In line with the values of partnership, humanity and fairness we are investing in progress and developing individual product solutions together with our customers and partners – from the first product idea through to implementation. Quality, environment, energy, product safety and health are the cornerstones of our sustainable company policy, which we demonstrate on a daily basis. At the same time we are aware of our social responsibility to our employees and our environment. Sustainable practices in the economic, social and environmental fields are therefore a matter of course to us.
Sandler disposes of the latest technologies which allow a combination of different production procedures. Thereby, the company is able to realise customised composite materials, multi-layer structures and innovative products with specific properties: Carded nonwovens, needle-punched, thermobonded or thermofused, or bonded by means of high-pressure water jets in the spunlace process, as well as meltblown nonwovens made from resins. Sandler nonwovens are utilised in most diverse markets. For many years, Sandler nonwovens have been an integral part of the automobile. They offer ready-to-use solutions for acoustically highly efficient absorbers in interior and exterior applications, carrier materials for moulded parts and seat upholstery. In more than 50 car models worldwide the lightweight, single-polymer materials help to lower energy consumption already during production. Heating, ventilation, air conditioning; filtration in the automobile of synthetic vacuum cleaner bags, liquid filtration: Sandler filter media in classes G3 to E11 allow people and the environment to breathe freely again. They are non-fibre-shedding and free from bacteriological risk and can therefore even be used in cleanroom environments. While often hidden, technical nonwovens from Sandler perform amazingly: as packaging material, insulation or hydroponics supports. Using the know-how of various manufacturing and processing technologies Sandler creates new nonwoven solutions for technical insulation, other industrial applications and the construction industry. Heat and sound insulating nonwovens commend themselves to various applications from the floor to the roof. In home textiles synthetic Sandler nonwovens are highly robust and durable, feature outstanding breathability and purity. In mattresses and quilts, sofas, office chairs or outdoor jackets: Sandler nonwovens make life noticeably more pleasant, even when they can't be seen. In office design and interior acoustics they provide for a quiet working atmosphere and optimum conversational acoustics. In the hygiene segment, Sandler offers nonwovens for applications in baby care, feminine hygiene, adult incontinence products and medical uses. With Sandler nonwovens, diapers, panty liners and plasters become even more effective. Sandler wipes substrates are ideal starting materials for dry and wet wipes and are applied in baby care, cosmetics, industrial and household cleaning. Embossing and printing motifs can be designed individually.
