It is not so easy to explain the history of a corporate in continuous development since the day of its foundation in 1944. In particular it is the story of a northern Italy family: Garavaglia. Everything begins in Milan with domestic aluminium production.
In 1950 Garavaglia family had the insight to start using stainless steel in domestic items and they started industrial production of this innovative material applied to saucepans. The passing from aluminium to stainless steel AISI 430 and AISI 304 assured a great dynamic and exciting period for the company. In these years Garavaglia family pursued the way of product diversification thus to reach costumers needs in wholesale and retail trade.
In 1968, because of continuous market competition, Garavaglia family decided to start new business: they entered direct selling market founding SILGA company. In just few years they reached a leader position in their main market thanks to integrated production and particular managing. SILGA was top level company world wide with a success assured by prestigious awards in reliability and quality expressed in its products. SILGA was supplier of a great and prestigious company in direct selling for over 20 years, demonstrating reliable and professional partner. Reliability, quickness, quality and high production are fundamental guide-lines for SILGA.
In 1997 SILGA was in different world markets: Europe, Asia, Oceania and America. One of the main targets for the future is to produce continuously new items thanks to progressive innovations from direct selling market. SILGA moved to rapid cooking without losing the traditional philosophy in natural and wholesome cooking. SILGA cooking lids are a really good and functional compromise between old and modern way of cooking with innovative system to use on all SILGA saucepans.

Every pan is made in 18/10 stainless steel and it has a thermo-diffusion bottom called TEKNOTHERM
(8 mm aluminium within a 18/10 steel capsule). Thermo-diffusion bottom permits a fast and uniform heat diffusion on all the pan surface. TEKNIKA is perfectly adaptable to any heat sources, induction as well.
Cooking philosophy allows to cook with lean water and fat free. Lid is designed to recycle steam without
losing food aroma and nutrictional factors. Ergonomic handles are studied to guarantee a perfect grip.
You can wash all the system items in dishwasher and put them in fridge and oven as well.
