Skagerak is a family-owned company with historical roots in Scandinavian geography and proud furniture traditions. Our passion for wood and our focus on quality have remained intact, as we have developed into a modern design brand with an extensive selection of contemporary products in a wide range of materials, created by established designers as well as up-and-coming talents.
Our vision is to create products that is ensured a long lifespan by virtue of its aesthetic and functional qualities. That is how we define sustainability. That things are made to last. That they age well and accumulate stories. Because in our world, good stories and relationships are what matters most, and we strive to design products that facilitates memorable meetings between people.
At Skagerak, we set the bar high in our effort to develop products that will be as relevant in twenty years’ time as it is today, living side by side with our classics. Products characterized by craftsmanship, environmental sustainability and warm and inviting aesthetic qualities. Products that appeal to people of all ages and bring beauty into your everyday life.
We stand for responsible production, transparent working relations and good working conditions. We support and adhere to the United Nations’ ten principles for CSR and only use legally sourced timber. Our products fall into three categories: Interior, Outdoor and Accessories, and we export to forty countries. We are proud of that achievement and attribute it to our efforts to create functional products for real life.
True to our history, we continue to do what we fervently believe in – to produce beautiful designs of sublime quality.
The combination of quality and design defines our way of thinking and our commitment to authentic Nordic handicraft. For that reason, we only work with selected designers like TAF Architects, Poul Eskildsen, Included Middle, VE2, Maximilian Schmahl and Chris Liljenberg Halstrøm, and sparing no effort is a natural aspect of our business. This means that we can vouch for our designs and our constant on-going development.
