Spitzenkunst (lacy art) are fine and filigree greeting cards and other high-quality papeterie products which are designed by the founder Kathrin Förster-Kuberczyk. The founder creates all motives and ornaments in her own work-shop in different paintings and hand prints. After the printing she improves the cards with an artistic frame.
The history behind the lacy arts comes from the Middel Ages. At that time, the nuns in the cloisters cutted very filigree lacys around the pictures from saints. The pictures received an artistic frame and were considered with a great value.
Spitzenkunst follows the same idea: A picture receives an artistic frame and shows its very special character.
In her pictures, Kathrin Förster-Kuberczyk shows details of the everyday life like a dragonfly or other elements from nature often overlooked.
All artistic greeting cards can be sended by post and can be used for interieur decoration as well. Light and shadow are falling through the lacy and give a very decorative character to the card.
All the products from Spitzenkunst are printed on high-quality cardboard in the offset’s procedure and are developed and produced in Germany completely.
